Pullen & Copp's Express, From New York (Forwarded By), sharp red oval handstamp on folded letter to Albany City, with manuscript "Paid" notation, letter datelined "New York Feb 24th, 1843", Very Fine, a choice and very rare express handstamp. Estimate $500 - 750.
Pullen & Copp, about 1842-43 started a New York, Albany and North via Troy express. About 1845 it became Pullen & Co., with Copp selling out to E. L. Stone.
