Folded letter datelined "Holland Patent Sept. 11th 1839". Carried 91½ miles south to be put onto the car at Utica. Carried west 52 miles on Route 909 to Syracuse the 26 miles on Route 910 to Auburn. Buffalo at this date was not connected by railroad so a mail coach by road was used to that city.
