1870 (Nov. 17) Paris to Romans, folded Gazette des Absents N^o8 with bold oval handstamp of "Chemins de Fer de L'Quest, 1^o Division, 2^o Section, Entretien et Surveillance" on reverse, postmarked "Paris, R. D'Amsterdam, 17 Nov. 70" double circle, franked with 20c Empire Lauré tied by numeral "18" star cancel, backstamped "Romans" arrival postmarks of Nov. 27 & 28, reverse with handstamp over original tape used to seal the letter, Very Fine, delayed from the Général Uhrich and carried by the Archimède.
