Postal History, 1795-1800s, collection of over 70 with a wide variety of markings including printed matter, registered, etc., better noted includes blue "Registered" framed handstamp on stampless legal-size cover to Camden; "Charleston Feb 20" straightline on circa 1795 cover front; "CHA Feb 1" straightline and ms. "Sh 54" ship rating cover; 1807 "Charln. S. Ca. Jul 9" cds use to Cambridge S.C.; 1808 "Charl. SC May 2" cds letter to Canaan Conn., 1847 transatlantic use to Paris, France; "Charleston S.C., 1" blue circular postmark rating drop use; 1842 Bordeaux, France to Charleston with red "ONE CENT" straightline drop rating; 1848 printed circular with red "Charleston S.C., 3" circular postmark; several large red "2" rating handstamp on drop covers and two as printed circulars, etc.; some mixed condition, F.-V.F.
