Barbados, Postage Due, 1934, 1d black, bisected, manuscript "½" in red, bottom right portion of stamp tied by bold sharp "Barbados, G.P.O., 2 No, 34" cds with second strike canceling indicia on 1916, ½d green newspaper wrapper to Belleville, "T" in circle handstamp, Extremely Fine, a very rare and short-lived provisional bisect usage of the 1934 1d Postage Due issue; with 1988 R.P.S.L. certificate. The bisected 1d was officially authorized for use between March 1934 and February 1935. Some examples, as the one offered here, had the value "½" written across the half stamp in red or black.
