Serbia, 1880-1920, Collection Balance, comprehensive showing of issues housed in two springback albums; starting with 1880 King Milan issues mint with shades, multiples and used in shades, proof section including a few scarce, couple covers including a large 1d block of 20 usage, 1890 King Alexander in similar fashion including imperfs and 3-color register franking on cover, 1894-96 issues in kind with the scarce compound perfs present, following surcharge types, mint multiples, perf variety section, imperf set, etc., 1901-03 issues mint, used and imperf sets, gutter imperf margin pairs and scarce on cover, 1903 Coat of Arms overprint issues starting with portrait essay and a selection of trail color proofs, issues with scarcer types including the 1p on 5d, perf 13½ surcharge (small thin), section of overprint errors including double and inverted, section of multiples including non-overprint, some on cover usages, etc., 1904 Centenary mint, mint blocks and used sets as well as a few covers, 1905-08 King Peter issue including an array of proof material, 1911 issue, 1911-14 Peter with Cap issue with better present, imperf set, scarce mix issue franking cover, 1911 Newspaper issue with the labels and better only missing the rare 1p orange, 1915 issue includes the 15p error in a block of 6, postage due and occupational present with better variety, "Poste Serbes" on French issues section, and a special 1918-20 Peter & Alexander issue including a unique section of essay and proof material; a wonderful collection worth careful inspection.Estimate $2,000 - 3,000.
