1938, 30¢ Presidential, tied by "Chicago Ill., Dec 26, 1944" machine cancel on private air lettersheet to England at the 30¢ per ½ oz. airmail letter rate, British censor tap at top, endorsed from "P/O H.G. Williams, No 8 Otu, Greenwood, Nova Scotia, Canada" on reverse, Very Fine and scarce use. Scott No. 830 Estimate $150 - 200.
Since air letter sheet rates did not exist at this time to Europe, this sending required prepayment of the 30¢ per ½ oz. airmail letter rate to England that was effective April 28, 1939 to October 31, 1946.
