Italian States & Italy, (Oldtime) Collection, 1851-91, attractive oldtime collection of 19th century issues, primarily used material however a few mint items are present, better used items throughout including a few covers, States with highlights including Parma near complete with 1859 issues complete mint (many signed) and a #PR2 on newspaper (signed, cat $10,000), Papal States with complete first issues and a 4baj bisect usage on cover, Sardinia with many of the better early issues present, Tuscany approaching completion, Naples with 1858 issues to the 20g and includes the rare ½t Coat of Arms (signed Richter, cat $11,000) and the ½t Cross of Savoy, Sicily lacking only the ½g, there are a few small faults here and there, however the overall quality is outstanding with large margined and well centered stamps throughout, most have been hand selected and are fresh with choice postmarks and cancellations, accompanied by 10 certificates, this collection must be examined to appreciate the completion and condition. Estimate $4,000 - 6,000.
