Nova Scotia, 1873 (Mar. 11) Halifax, Montreal to London, England, cover bearing Canada 1870-73 Small Queen, Montreal perf. 11½:12, 1¢ yellow (35d), 2¢ green (36e) and 3¢ orange red (37e) strip of three, all tied by "Halifax N.S., MR 11 '73" duplexes, carried by Inman-Allan Line Manitobian from Halifax Mar. 11th to Queenstown arriving Mar. 22nd, red London Paid (3.24) arrival cds; some docketing, Very Fine.

A CHOICE THREE-COLOR CANADA SMALL QUEEN FRANKING PREPAYING DOUBLE THE 6¢ RATE TO GREAT BRITAIN.

This was carried on the maiden return voyage of the Inman-Allan Line "Manitobian". The 6¢ treaty rate to Great Britain was effective January 1, 1870.
