Nova Scotia, 1873 (Jan. 3) Summerside, Prince Edward Island to Brussels, Belgium, cover addressed to Belgian Stamp Dealer J.B. Moens bearing P.E.I. 3¢ rose, perf. 12½ (Unitrade 13d) horizontal pair, tied by two oval grid cancels, matching "Summerside, P.E. Island, 3 Jan" and red crayon "4¢" rating paid in cash, Charlottetown (1.4) transit backstamp, carried by Allan Line Moravian to Liverpool arriving Jan. 24th, red "Paid, Liverpool, Br. Packet, 24 JA 73" transit cds and red crayon "3½" d.stg. G.B. credit rating, London "PD" in circle handstamp, Brussels (1.25) arrival backstamp; mended opening faults, Fine appearance, ex-Wilkinson; with 2010 Greene Foundation certificate.
Estimate    $3,000 - 4,000.

Cover was prepaid with 6¢ in stamps and 4¢ in cash for the 10¢ rate to Belgium (effective February 1870) with Great Britain receiving 3½d stg. credit. The Canada inland rate was 3¢.
