1862, 24¢ pale gray violet, on thin paper, grid cancel, rich true pale gray violet color, wide margins, Extremely Fine, a lovely sound example of this very elusive and often faulty stamp, this being one of two to share this grade with only one graded higher (95); with 1985 P.F. and 2002 P.S.E. certificates, the latter Graded (XF 90, SMQ $6,000).Scott No. 70d $3,000.
