1842-46, Cunard Line Contract, T.W. Ward Name of Boat Stamps, group of 4 covers, each with red "Forwd. By T.W. Ward, Boston" oval and matching ship directional handstamp comprising "Pr. ACADIA" 1842 Boston to London, "Pr. BRITANNIA" 1842 New Orleans to Paris via New York; "PR CALEDONIA" 1844 New Orleans to London; and "PR CAMBRIA" 1846 New Orleans to London; each with file fold, F.-V.F. and scarce group.
Estimate    $500 - 750.

The forwarding agents T.W. Ward of Boston used a set of stamps for five Cunard vessels operating the mail packet contract in 1840s to identify the vessel they wanted the letter to be sent on.
