Department red "14" handstamp, Very Fine. Scott No. UX21E-G. USPCC No. S28E-G $2,000 as similar.

Although not so stated on the essay, it was the product of the Sterling Engraving Co. of New York. The original die is now in the vaults of the Bureau of Engraving and printing.
