This Full-Face McKinley card was written by Katharine Dawson, wife of Clarence Dawson, the Private Secretary to Postmaster General Charles Emory Smith on May 9, 1902 to her cousin Mrs. Charles Merwin in the Franklin Apartments. This was apparently written without her husband's knowledge and never mailed.
