Confederacy, 1863, 10¢ greenish blue, four even margins, tied by crisp "Christiansburg Va., Oct 6" cds on orange cover to George Moore, British Consulate, Richmond Va., Extremely Fine.

George Moore was Her Britannic Majesty's Consul for the port of Richmond and State of Virginia. On June 3rd 1863, President Jefferson Davis revoked and annulled Moore's status. Moore returned to England and retired.
