Campbell, Lt Eng[ineer] Corps CSA" to his wife, dropped at the Richmond post office just as McClellan was beginning his peninsular campaign; slightly reduced at right, Extremely Fine, a choice usage, ex-Myerson and Wiseman. Duncan Green Campbell (1835-1889) was an engineering officer on the staff of several Generals during the war including Smith, Kershaw, McLaws, and Beauregard.
