1867 (Apr. 1, Nov. 18) London, England to New York, N.Y., two folded letter sheets from the Lanman & Kemp correspondence, both sent unpaid with London "3/Cents" debit handstamps to the U.S., and both carried by the North German Lloyd from Southampton to New York, first with by NGL Line Deutschland arriving Apr. 13th, "N.Y. Am. Pkt. '24 or 32 U.S. Notes' Apr 14" exchange cds, other carried by NGL Line Weser arriving Nov. 28th with "N.Y. Am. Pkt. '24 or 33 U.S. Notes' Nov 29" exchange cds, Very Fine and scarce pair of depreciated currency cds, ex-Colin Tabeart on his exhibit page.
