Mexico, 1868, 50c black on yellow, Mexico, cons 1-70, tied by Mexico cds (Schatzkes 821) on 1870 folded letter to Havana, Cuba, with manuscript "vapor Ingles" ship endorsement at top, sent via steamship Corsica through the British agency with "Paid at Veracruz" crown circle handstamp and reverse with "Vera - Cruz, Sp 1, 1870" transit and "Franco, Admon Gral Mexico, Ago 30, 1870" cds (Schatzkes 838), entered Cuba with "Indias" and "3" due rating handstamps for inland transit, Very Fine, a very late use of the British crowned circle handstamp from Veracruz, approximately 2-3 are known from this issue; with 2008 MEPSI certificate.
