(Revolutionary War) 1775 (May 2) London, England to Philadelphia Pa., docketed folded cover endorsed "p. Dolphin, Capt. Read" at bottom left, Brig. Dolphin arrived at Philadelphia on Jul. 8th from Kingston, Jamaica; internal separation including top flap, F.-V.F., This cover was sent just after hostilities with the American Colonies on April 19th 1775, but prior to the partial blockade starting in Sep. 1775.
