Mexico, 1884-85 Medallions With District Overprints, one of the most complete collections ever assembled; 86 medallions mostly used representing 25 overprints with no duplication, although the rule of printing a district overprint in each stamp had ended in 1883, some districts continued doing so at the beginning of the Medallion issue, very few are known, this collection is the result of 50 years of the patient collecting of the late Jay Bart from Chicago, a unique assembly, districts include Apam, Cuernavaca, Chiapas, Etzatlan, Guajanuato, Hermosillo, Jalapa, Mascota, Oaxaca, Maravatio, Monterrey, San Francisco, San Luis Potosi, Tacubaya, Tampico, Tehuacan, Tlalpujahua, Saltillo, Soyaniquilpam, Texcoco, Tlaxcala, Tula, Veracruz and Victoria, the group includes 11 not listed in the 2015 Nick Follansbee catalog, Very Fine overall.
