Australia, 1851 Sydney, N.S.W. to Adelaide, S.A. forwarded to Burra Burra, folded letter sheet endorsed "Overland" and franked with N.S.W. 1850, 2d blue, two singles (different shades and impressions) tied by barred oval handstamps, "Sydney, New South Wales, My 2, 1851" origin and "Melbourne, Port Phillip, My 8, 1851" transit backstamps, underfranked 8d rate with manuscript "8" due, redirected with additional 8d charge and final "1/4" arrival charge, cover opened and resealed in transit near Adelaide with transit note on innerflap…I have opened this to see how my boys were…the man waits to take this back to town, Very Fine, an unusual and rare inter-colonial usage.
