Fire Insurance Co., Hartford, Conn., gray all-over illustrated ad on cover bearing 1¢ blue, dot-in-u, plate 9 (63 var.) strip of three, nat. s.e. at left, tied by blue "Chicago Ills Oct 8" duplex with circular grid cancel to Oberlin Oh., Very Fine and attractive, ex-Watt White. Estimate $300 - 400.
The left stamp is a straight edge straddle margin copy between two panes of 100 stamps. A blue guide marking is at the bottom of margin. The strip is from an early printing, probably dating cover to 1861.
