Aug 16, red cds on U.S. 3¢ star die entire (U27) to Charleston S.C., carried by Adams through the lines to its Nashville agent, entered the mails with blue "Nashville Ten. Aug 21 1861" cds and matching "Paid" and "10" rating handstamps; opening tears at top, otherwise Very Fine and scarce use.
