Steamship '10' Aug 3" arrival cds, Very Fine, Only eleven examples of this vessel cachet have been recorded, nine being struck on reverse. Milgram No. 434 Estimate $300 - 400.
In 1865, Waydell & Co. were awarded the contract for the post road from New York via Bermuda to Santiago de Cuba. The single screw steamer "Fah Kee" of 699 tons built at Greenpoint N.Y. was employed on this service from October 1865 to mid 1868.
