The Keokuk Packet Co. was contracted between 1858 and 1869 to run six trips a week between St. Louis and Keokuk. Route 10407 operated July 1858 to June 1862 at $15,000 per year. The company used the 587 ton "Die Vernon" built in 1859 on the route.
