"Judah Tuoro" of 332 tons built at New Albany, Indian in 1854 for Capt. Samuel Gwartney. First enrolled at New Orleans 11th January 1855 for the New Orleans to Shreveport trade. Burnt at Shreveport in July 1863 to avoid capture by Union forces. Named after Judah Tuoro (1775-1854) who was a prominent steamboat owner and a major philanthropist in New Orleans.
