Packet Frolic, two different oval handstamps, first is circa 1868 with black "Regular New Orleans and Minden Packet Frolic" oval on 3¢ pink (U58) entire from the Carroll Hoy & Co. correspondence to New Orleans La., other is circa 1869 with blue New Orleans & Grand Ecore Weekly Packet Frolic oval on 3¢ pink (U59) entire to New Orleans La., mounted on exhibit page, a Very Fine exhibition pair.

For the majority of each year, the Frolic ran on the Red River, usually to Grand Ecore. For three to six months of the year, when the water was high, she ran up towards Shreveport and entered the Loggy Bayou, Lake Bisteneau and the Dorcheat Bayou to Minden.
