From Steamer M. Relf, red oval handstamp on orange cover from the Carroll Hoy correspondence to New Orleans La. bearing 1857, 3¢ dull red cancelled by partial grid cancel; cover tear and small flaws, taped flap tears, F.-V.F. Milgram No. 950 Estimate $150 - 200.
The engines and other fittings of the "J.M. Relf" were used to build the "Milton Relf" in 1855. This is the same marking used for the "J.M. Relf" with the "J" removed.
