Tappahannock" re-routing endorsement, bearing 1873, 10¢ brown, corner crease, tied by "Key West Fla. Jan 27" duplex upon arrival for the 10¢ steamship rate; small edge flaws, Very Fine and unusual. Although only 180 miles separated Havana from Key West it was unusual for letters to be routed into the United States through Florida in the 1870s.
