"Austin, N.T., Apl 26", manuscript (type I) forwarding postmark with "Ford 3" rating on cover bearing 1861, 3¢ rose tied by blue grid with matching "Northandover Ms. Mar 23" origin cds, forwarded to San Francisco where May 10th 1864 dcds and "San Francisco Cal. 'Advertised' May 11" backstamps struck, eventually forwarded again back to Austin with ribbon "Forwarded" and "Due 6" handstamps and additional "Ford 3¢" rating; cover reduced at right, F.-V.F. and interesting use, a scarce manuscript postmark.
