(Western Related) Ord Correspondence, 1850-1950's, several hundred covers and some ephemera from the Ord military legacy; the earliest items being a 1850's cover to Capt. E.O.C. Ord at Fort Dalles in Oregon Territory from the post at Benecia, Cal., other material is much later from the end of his carrier while working on the railroad line between Texas and Mexico City, includes many 1870-80's Monterey Consulate covers sent to General Ord in San Antonio, Tex., other covers into the 20th century to his son who saw activity in the the Spanish American War and the Philippine American War, ephemera also includes printed regimental pamphlets and hand written note books belonging to Col. Richard Comba (5th U.S. infantry) during the Spanish American War, many covers are late usages to Ords wife in the California Bay Area; condition mixed with many interesting items, a Fine group.Estimate $750 - 1,000.
