Letter Express, 1844, 5¢ Black on Pink, Horizontal Pair, large margins to into top outerline line of right stamp, natural "pre-use" crease in bottom margin, manuscript canceled on folded letter sheet addressed to New York City, letter carried from Cleveland to New York and given to Boyd's City Express for inner-city delivery, with red boxed "Boyd's City Express Post, Aug 6, 7 o'c." handstamp tying pair with matching "Paid, J.T.B." handstamp alongside, inner sheet docketed "SB & FJ Prentiss, August 2nd 1844" who where two brothers that established a law office in Cleveland, O.; cover file fold and some edge splitting along file folds, Very Fine; with 1974 and 2007 P.F. certificates.
