(Usages) 3¢ Orange Brown, Type II, singles on two New York City July 1851 outbound covers; one tied by 13-bar square grid handstamp, and other (right margin single) tied by the 11-bar square grid handstamp; one former cover missing backflap, otherwise Very Fine, the 11-bar square grid handstamp was predominately used on New York inter-city mail, Chase noted the earliest usage of this grid was July 8th, 1851.
