1853 Crystal Palace, "New - York, Jul 19, 1853", year date postmark tying 1851, 3¢ dull red on cover to Newark, O.; some cover edge creasing, F.-V.F., this postmark is thought to have been used in conjunction with the Crystal Palace Exhibition, however there is no evidence to support this, in any case this is a very scarce marking which is known used from July 11 to July 25, 1853. Estimate $300 - 400.
