To Paris, France, Shepard correspondence cover bearing 1863, 24¢ lilac, cancelled by cork cancel duplexed with Buffalo cds, black "Boston '6' Oct 23" debit exchange cds and matching framed "Short Paid" handstamp adjacent, red crayon "2" for double weight, red Calais (11.3) entry cds and black "16" decimes due handstamp, reverse with Paris (11.3) arrival cds and ms. due rating; cover faults, F.-V.F., 30¢ double French Mail rate underpaid by 15¢ and treated wholly unpaid with 30¢ due, 6¢ debit for British packet service., ex-Dos Passos.
