Rutherford, Member from Goodland, House of Delegates, Richmond Va. and with docketing indicating it was from Dr. James Laurence Cabell; inside use is imprinted semi-official use from Medical Director's Office at Richmond Va., inside postmarked Richmond but without stamp and addressed to the Surgeon in Charge, General Hospital, Charlottesville Va.; imprint neatly displayed, Very Fine and choice turned use, ex-Hambrecht. Cabell was the Surgeon in Charge at Charlottesville and the original use would have been from Surgeon William Allen Carrington, Medical Director at the Department of Virginia, Richmond.
