1861, 10¢ yellow green (s.e. at right) in combination with 1863, 5¢ brown on 1861, 3¢ pink entire to Marburg, Germany with Wells, Fargo & Co. black company frank at top, all tied by crossroads cancels at New York with red "N. York, 7 Paid "exchange cds and red Aachen boxed transit date stamp, manuscript "per Steamer Constitution connexion to German line of steamers from New York" endorsement; 5¢ stamp with margin clip from overlap at top, otherwise Very Fine, a rare usage carried by Wells, Fargo & Co. and entering the mails in New York, with U.S. adhesives intending to pay the Hamburg rate however sent by Prussian closed mail.
