1871-CC $20 Liberty. PCGS graded EF-40. The second-year double eagle issue from the Carson City Mint was about five times that of the first-year issue--17,387 pieces for the 1871-CC, compared to 3,789 coins for the 1870-CC--but the 1871-CC is still the second-rarest issue by a wide margin. (PCGS Pop. 20 in EF-40, 73 graded higher, the highest grade being nine AU-55 examples, and a total of 118 in all grades, 9/24/11).Estimate $7,500 - 10,000.
