Denver in Washington D.C., franked with 1855, 10¢ green, types II-III-II, vertical strip of three tied by two strikes of "San Francisco, Cal., Dec 6, 1858" cds; some wear and sealed cover tears at top from opening, F.-V.F., an extremely rare triple rate usage over this rare route operating only between Oct 1, 1858 and Sept 27, 1859 handling very little mail, letters for carriage over the route had to have the routing endorsement.
