1863 Baltimore, Md. To Paris, France. Double rate cover with bold "Baltimore, Md., Feb 6" cds and matching "30" rate handstamp, "New York, 18, Feb 7" exchange cds debit to France (3 cents U.S. inland, 6 cents sea), "16" decimes due handstamp and receiving backstamp, with original enclosure from General Gustave Paul Cluseret datelined from New Orleans, La. and signed M. Brady photo of the General (hence double rate); sealed cover tear at top, otherwise Very Fine, ex Noel.
Estimate    $200 - 300.

Sent per Inman Line - Steamer Edinburgh that departing New York on February 7th and arriving in Queenstown on February 19th and in Liverpool on the 20th.
