Cover franked with 1857-60, 3¢ brownish carmine, two singles + 24¢ lilac paying the double 15¢ rate, tied by red grid handstamps with "New York, Paid 24, Jan 22" cds, transit and receiving backstamps, Very Fine, the 24¢ lilac stamp is seldom seen to destinations other than England; with 1977 P.F. certificate.
Scott No. 26+37    Estimate $1,000 - 1,500.

Sent via Cunard Line - per steamer America, departing Boston on January 23rd and arriving in Queenstown on February 4th.
