Selection of broad range of items, perhaps most notable a group of Railroad items, including lovely 1864 cameo advertisement for Huntingdon and Broad Top Rail Road Company on back flap of cover with Saxton, Pa., postmark; ornate corner card for Grand Trunk R.R. of Mobile, Ala; illustrated corner card for So Carolina R.R. showing train at full speed; many R.P.O. postmarks; nice 1875 "Passenger / Steamer R.E. Lee " corner card with Vicksburg, Miss. postmark; 1900 Charleston, S.C. flag cancel "South Carolina/Inter-State and /West Indian Exposition / 1901-1902"; several Charleston allover advertising covers; 3¢ Nesbitt with Charleston 1857 cds and "Charleston Hotel" circular corner card handstamp; 1841 stampless folded letter with "Greenville C.H., S.C." and handstamp "Paid", manuscript "12½", addressed to A. H. Stephens (later Confederate Vice President), Crawfordville, Ga.; several official covers; several solder's letter endorsements including "Washington, D.C." cds with oval "Soldier's Letter" handstamp, with contents; circular "Examined / Camp Chase" on 1862(?) cover to Maryland; also a dozen or so 1930's naval cancels with cachets, and including 7 with notations of "sunk" by Japanese warships; a closer look will be rewarded.Estimate $500 - 750.
