1855, 10¢ green, types II-III, vertical pair. Margins large to a bit in at bottom and left, in combination with 1861, 1¢ blue, type IV on 1855 folded letter paying the British open mail rate to Chalon sons Saone, France, tied by grid handstamps with red "New Orleans, La., May 20" origin cds tying pair, red "New York, Am. Packet, May 30" exchange cds and "8" decimes due handstamp, reverse with transit and receiving postmarks, Very Fine, an early usage of the 10¢ issue with type III being the second day of usage.
