In red & blue, franked with 1857 10¢ green, type V + 12¢ black, plate 2 just tied by open grid cancels, postmarked Portchester N.Y., to Lima Peru, British "Panama, Ju 12, 1861, A" transit cds with red "12" credit handstamp; 10¢ creased where it extends beyond edge of cover, otherwise Very Fine and exceedingly rare, From the Davis correspondence, of which only three or four covers were patriotics.
