Hawaii, 20¢ lilac & black, "Stamp Duty". Bogus revenue issue on thick white paper, usual toning, Fine and scarce (Not part of the Kane Collection).
Estimate    $50 - 75.

This stamp was first mentioned in philatelic literature in 1916 and was most likely produced after 1893 when the 20¢ stamp duty was imposed on stock certificates.
