Hutchings "Methods Of Mining" (Baird 107) illustrated letter sheet with numerous scenes (one page printed on full sheet), dated "1855", used with letter headed "Campo Seco July the 10 Cal 1855" from a man to his wife (two pages) telling her "I am to work by the day for… $3.50 per day mining. I hope a long job unless I find a good claim." and, amazingly, "provisions here is very cheap here in the mines….", no cover or postal markings, one short edge tear mended with a stamp hinge, Very Fine, ex-Clifford
