Dateline on folded letter to Westerly, R.I., entered the mails with "San Francisco, Cal., May 3" cds and matching "12" rate handstamp, lengthy three pages letter from whaler aboard the bark S.H. Waterman regarding the mails…there is a Mr. Bolles here merchant who has an Express with the mail which he forwards to Honolulu. mentions postage rates, whaling, etc.; cover age spots and small tear at top, F.-V.F., ex Harris.
