Hale & Co. 1845 folded cover from New York to Fall River, Mass. with red boxed "Collect Six Cents for Hale & Co.", cover datelined New York, 3rd Mo.(nth) 27, 1845, reverse shows rare Hale straight line handstamp in red "Mailed Late For The" with manuscript "27" date which was applied in New York, two vert. file folds with some toning, F.-V.F., one of only a handful recorded. Estimate $200 - 300.
