Showing doubling in "Stamp" and stars in bottom label, mostly large margins to clear at bottom right, cancelled by neat red star carrier handstamp on cover to New York City, blue "Philadelphia, Pa., 5cts, Dec. 6" integral rate cds; cover with light central vertical file fold and rebacked small edge tears at top, Very Fine, a magnificent example of the 1851, 1¢ Franklin Carrier Double Transfer on cover from Philadelphia, Pa., a great rarity as this cover is one of only two examples of the double transfer variety on cover, ex Worthington, Caspary.
