Intensely rich color and beautiful early impression, ample to large margins including portions of three adjoining stamps, tied by two strikes of the Philadelphia, Pa. blue octagonal "Paid" handstamp on 1847 folded letter sheet to Pittsburgh Pa.; small scissor cut in top stamp and cover refolded at left, otherwise Extremely Fine, ex Knapp (with auction lot number affixed).
